The Pillars
Youth Theater

at The Seeing Place

Training young artists to tell meaningful stories with excellence, integrity, and heart.

At The Pillars Youth Theater, we believe every student is uniquely gifted with purpose and creativity. Through auditioned productions and leadership tracks for students ages 13–18, students grow in skill, character, and community.

Each season, we offer:

  • Four fully realized productions in the Fall, Winter, Spring, and Summer Theater Program

  • Each production holds auditions open to performers ages 13 through 18 or students in 9th-12th grade.

  • Weekly rehearsals (Wednesdays & Thursdays, 4–6 pm)

  • Opportunities for student leadership, tech crew, and mentorship

  • A focus on collaboration, excellence, and storytelling that matters

  • Classes coming in 2026 for Middle School.

This Program Is For:

Students who are . . .

  • Passionate about theater

  • Willing to commit to the rehearsals, program, pillars, and process we have created

  • Ready to grow in skill, confidence, and responsibility

  • Open to learning both onstage and offstage

  • Ready to be a part of a robust learning community who tell amazing stories and are ready to see themselves and others in the stories we tell

The Pillars Youth Theater is rooted in seven values that guide every production, rehearsal, and decision we make.

Before the Musical . . . there was the book, the story, the legend.

Before Andrew Lloyd Weber wrote the famous musical, Gaston Leroux wrote The Phantom of the Opera in 1909, and the legend began.

Beneath the glittering stage of the Paris Opera House, a brilliant and disfigured musical genius lives in shadow.

Feared and whispered about as a “phantom,” he secretly guides the voice of a young soprano, Christine Daaé, helping her rise to stardom. But as admiration turns to obsession, the Phantom’s longing for love and belonging spirals into jealousy, control, and heartbreak.

Set against the grandeur of the opera house, a world driven by performance, ambition, and applause, The Phantom of the Opera explores what happens when talent is celebrated but the human heart is unseen.

Dark, romantic, and deeply human, this powerful play asks timeless questions about identity, rejection, and the cost of living behind a mask.
