The Pillars
Youth Theater
at The Seeing Place
Training young artists to tell meaningful stories with excellence, integrity, and heart.
At The Pillars Youth Theater, we believe every student is uniquely gifted with purpose and creativity. Through auditioned productions and leadership tracks for students ages 13–18, students grow in skill, character, and community.
Each season, we offer:
Four fully realized productions in the Fall, Winter, Spring, and Summer Theater Program
Each production holds auditions open to performers ages 13 through 18 or students in 9th-12th grade.
Weekly rehearsals (Wednesdays & Thursdays, 4–6 pm)
Opportunities for student leadership, tech crew, and mentorship
A focus on collaboration, excellence, and storytelling that matters
Classes coming in 2026 for Middle School.
This Program Is For:
Students who are . . .
Passionate about theater
Willing to commit to the rehearsals, program, pillars, and process we have created
Ready to grow in skill, confidence, and responsibility
Open to learning both onstage and offstage
Ready to be a part of a robust learning community who tell amazing stories and are ready to see themselves and others in the stories we tell
The Pillars Youth Theater is rooted in seven values that guide every production, rehearsal, and decision we make.

America’s Original Ghost Story Comes to Life This November.
Part comedy, part mystery, part suspense, and all the intrigue. The Pillars Youth Theater presents America’s first great ghost story.
Washington Irving’s The Legend of Sleepy Hollow follows the quirky and superstitious antics of schoolmaster Ichabod Crane, who the dreaded Headless Horseman haunts.
This imaginative adaptation by Peter and Hans Bloedel stays true to the world that Irving creates in this American Gothic tale, but adds a lyrical quality that further enhances the humor, the magic, and the terror.
WHEN: Friday, November 8 at 7:00pm, Saturday, November 9 at 2:00pm and 7:00pm
WHERE: Auditions and performances are held at The Seeing Place. 315 Winchester Road, Jacksonville, NC 28540
TICKETS: Tickets are $15 for adults in the Gold Seating, $13 for adults in the Silver Seating, and $10 for children under 12. CLICK HERE to purchase tickets.
