The word theatre comes from the Greeks.
It means the seeing place.

The Seeing Place presents the Pulitzer Prize-winning comedy that proves love—and laughter—conquer all.
You Can’t Take It With You is a Pulitzer Prize-winning comedy by Moss Hart and George S. Kaufman, first performed on Broadway in 1936 during the Great Depression. Despite economic hardship, the play brought laughter and hope to American audiences, and it still does today.
The story centers on the delightfully eccentric Sycamore family. In this household, everyone does what brings them joy: one writes plays that never get finished, another makes fireworks in the basement, and Grandpa simply refuses to pay taxes. Chaos reigns, but it’s the kind of chaos that reminds us what it means to really live.
When Alice Sycamore falls in love with Tony Kirby, the son of a wealthy, uptight Wall Street family, their worlds collide. Can love withstand the clash between joyful nonconformity and strict social expectations?
A true ensemble piece, You Can’t Take It With You is filled with vibrant characters, sharp wit, and moments of unexpected depth. Beneath the humor lies a powerful message that resonates with audiences today just as much as when it first premiered on Broadway.
