The word theatre comes from the Greeks.
It means the seeing place.

This winter, we return to the heart of what theater can be: a quiet room, an honest story, and the courage to sit with what is true. Through intimate productions that explore love, loss, healing, and unexpected grace, we are choosing a season of soft beginnings and gentle restoration. In the stillness of winter, we invite you to join us in rediscovering beauty, hope, and the simple power of storytelling.
Welcome to The Seeing Place.
GRACE & GLORIE
A first for The Seeing Place. An intimate, two-woman story of grace, humor, and healing.
Set in a small cabin in the Blue Ridge Mountains, Grace & Glorie follows the unlikely friendship between Grace, a feisty 90-year-old woman facing the end of her life, and Glorie, a polished but grieving hospice volunteer from New York. As the two women clash, connect, and slowly open up, they discover unexpected healing in the simplest, quietest moments. This tender two-woman play, by Tom Ziegler, reminds us that grace can appear in the most ordinary places and through the most unlikely people.

THE CURIOUS SAVAGE
A warm-hearted comedy where “crazy” might just be another word for courageous.
When Ethel Savage inherits a fortune from her late husband, she makes a shocking decision: give it away.
While her ambitious stepchildren, a socialite, a senator, and a judge, scheme to protect the family wealth, they commit Ethel to The Cloisters, a quiet home that feels more like a sanctuary than a mental institution.
But inside The Cloisters, Ethel discovers a community of imaginative, tenderhearted residents whose warmth and wisdom challenge everything the outside world calls “normal.”
As her stepchildren scramble to find where she has hidden the money, Ethel must decide what and who truly matters.
Warm, witty, and delightfully unexpected, The Curious Savage is a charming comedy about fortune, family, and finding home in the most unlikely places.
