The word theatre comes from the Greeks.
It means the seeing place.

This winter, we return to the heart of what theater can be: a quiet room, an honest story, and the courage to sit with what is true. Through intimate productions that explore love, loss, healing, and unexpected grace, we are choosing a season of soft beginnings and gentle restoration. In the stillness of winter, we invite you to join us in rediscovering beauty, hope, and the simple power of storytelling.

SHADOWLANDS

The unlikely Love Story of C.S. Lewis & Joy Davidman

Written by William Nicholson, Shadowlands tells the true story of C.S. Lewis, beloved Oxford scholar and author of The Chronicles of Narnia, whose comfortable, intellectual understanding of faith is quietly turned upside down when he meets American poet Joy Davidman. Their unexpected friendship grows into a love that awakens Lewis to both profound joy and heartbreaking loss. Through their journey, Lewis discovers that real love is tender, costly, and transformative.

GRACE & GLORIE

A first for The Seeing Place. An intimate, two-woman story of grace, humor, and healing.

Set in a small cabin in the Blue Ridge Mountains, Grace & Glorie follows the unlikely friendship between Grace, a feisty 90-year-old woman facing the end of her life, and Glorie, a polished but grieving hospice volunteer from New York. As the two women clash, connect, and slowly open up, they discover unexpected healing in the simplest, quietest moments. This tender two-woman play, by Tom Ziegler, reminds us that grace can appear in the most ordinary places and through the most unlikely people.
